I'm Kirsty: an illustrator, designer, all-round creative and maker. My love for art and design is vast, with my work predominantly focus on fun and playful illustrative, storytelling projects. I'm also a lover of type and have been dipping my toes into type design and sign writing.

I am a 2023 BA Graphic Design graduate, graduating from Nottingham Trent University with exceptional First Class Honors, and a wealth of experiences under my belt.

As an intern at the wonderful Magic Cat Publishing, my passion for children's publishing has rooted itself. I've worked on sales material, flowing texts on spreads, briefing illustrators, mocking up LTFO books and so much more.

Storytelling, education, and nature inspire a lot of my work and I'm an eager learner, constantly googling and reading about the most random things in the pursuit of knowing more.

My work is a combination of digital and traditional methods of making, embracing new technologies while having a soft spot for good old pencil and paper. This versatility makes me adaptable and open to a variety of ways of working.
